IBackup (http://www.ibackup.com), the leading online backup and storage service provider, today unveiled the brick level mailbox backup feature to their existing Exchange server backup solution.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA (PRWEB) -- IBackup adds the brick level mailbox backup feature to their existing Exchange server backup solution.

The propagation of email has made the protection of valuable email data stored in MS exchange servers a challenge for IT professionals. Ensuring that crucial information within the Microsoft Exchange Servers is properly archived is vital to maintaining business productivity.

Globalization and federal mandate has forced businesses to place greater emphasis on retaining the critical information stored within their mail servers. Electronic communication between employees, customers, and partners is not limited to "business hours" and an e-mail outage seriously impedes communication, resulting in loss of valuable time and possibly revenue. A major disaster or minor human error can make recovering exchange data especially to the mail box level can be a complex and a daunting task.

"IBackup currently offers an exchange server backup solution where the entire public information store can be restored with a click of a button" says IBackup Project Manager, Naveen Athresh. "Additionally, powerful compression ratios coupled with intelligent patching technology ensures that only changes are backed up after the first full backup, thereby significantly reducing storage costs.".

Responding to customer requests, the new release from IBackup adds the brick level mailbox feature to IBackup for Windows and contains many advance features, including dynamic mailbox backups and recovery capability. Developed to assist IBackup's business customers, this new release expands the product line of continuous data protection beyond entire public information store backups and restores to individual mailbox backups and restores. The Exchange Brick-Level Mailbox Backup method allows business to backup individual mailboxes on the MS Exchange Store to the IBackup account. The application backs up the contents of the selected mailboxes to a Personal Folder (.PST) file. This application enhancement is designed to only perform backup of individual mailboxes for the selected mailbox stores and it is not a method for complete backup or recovery of Exchange database.

The general features of the utility are:

  • Performs online backup of individual Mailboxes for the selected Mailbox stores without interrupting the running MS Exchange Server services
  • Backups can be scheduled for a future date and time with various scheduling options
  • Secure backups with the highest level of 128-bit SSL encryption on transmission
  • Easy to use wizards for scheduling the backup job
