What is Driveway?

Driveway is a free online file sharing service. Using an Internet enabled computer, users can upload/share files with others.

Should I register myself to be a user of Driveway?

Registration is not necessary. Users can start using Driveway straightaway.

How do I upload and download files?

Just select the files you wish to upload, provide your e-mail id if you would like to receive the ‘Download’ and ‘Delete’ links by confirmation mail and click the ‘Send Files’ button. If you do not enter your e-mail id, only the ‘Download’ link would appear on the conformation page. You can save the links(s) to download files in the future.

Is there any file size limit for upload?

Users can upload multiple files, up to a maximum limit of 500MB.

How do I share files with others?

To share files, all you need is your email id and that of the recipient. The recipient will receive an email, containing the link(s) to the shared file(s), which can be downloaded and viewed by simply clicking on it/them.

How do I delete files that I uploaded to Driveway?

Just enter your e-mail id when you upload the files. You will receive the ‘Download’ and ‘Delete’ links for the file by the confirmation mail. Click on the ‘Delete’ link and your file will be deleted immediately.

What are types of files that I can upload to Driveway?

Any type of file can be uploaded on Driveway. But files violating our terms of service, copyrights, obscene or abusive content are forbidden and will be removed. Please notify Driveway if you see such files uploaded on our site by using the ‘Report Abuse’ option.

What is report abuse? How is it useful?

Should you receive objectionable material in their e-mail, via Driveway, feel free to report abuse to our Support Team, using this option. We will take appropriate action to remove any file(s) violating our terms of service and copyrights, within 24 hours (subject to change).
