--IBackup (http://www.ibackup.com), a division of Pro Softnet Corp., has announced RSYNC compatibility to augment its rich set of applications for web-based online storage and retrieval.
RSYNC is a widely used backup and mirroring tool in the Linux and Unix worlds including Solaris, AIX among other Unix flavors. IBackup has now made RSYNC compatibility standard for all IBackup accounts, enabling Linux and Unix users to execute lightening fast incremental online backups.
IBackup is the only service that serves a complete line of web-based secure storage solutions featuring general-purpose storage functions to specialized backup functions for a wide variety of platforms. It supports a wide range of protocols including HTTP (S), WEBDAV, FTP, SMTP, CIFS/SMB, WAP and now RSYNC.
