| A Sub-Account is an IBackup account that you can create on any folder in your online storage account to provide access only to files (and folders) within that folder to other employees and business partners. A Sub-Account has access to all IBackup features except the main account's profile/credit card information, and is restricted to the folder assigned to it. Advanced features include 'read only' sub-accounts which will not allow sub-account holders to upload files, delete files or rename files and are permitted only to download. Sub-Accounts can also be used as a secure way of collaboration with multiple parties.

Anybody can create Sub-Accounts. Workgroup Subscription and Enhanced Backup Plan users have Sub-Accounts enabled as per their subscription plans and the number of available Sub-Accounts is dependent on the plan type. Subscribers who do not have Sub-Accounts and those who wish to add more Sub-Accounts can avail the same at the rate of $5 per Sub-Account and is charged on a monthly basis.
An enterprise could create its web accessible data in a logical way that most accurately represents its business data structure and flow. An administrator could manage all the data structure and flow, and create Sub-Accounts for the employees, customers and suppliers with appropriate folders mapped to those Sub-Accounts.
Now, using the IBackup applications like the browser based Web-Manager, Network drive - IDrive or the scheduler application - IBackup for Windows, each Sub-Account holder could interact with other parties in the most logical and productive manner, improving communications and efficiency thus resulting in high ROI.
Please note that the Sub-Account usernames are considered as real usernames by all IBackup applications and they need to be unique and cannot clash with other usernames.
