To enable remote access, two components of RemotePC must be downloaded -
Remote Access Host
and Remote Access Viewer.
The Host should be installed in the remote machine, which you wish to work on from a remote location. The Viewer needs to be installed on the computer, to which you would physically have access.
You can also connect to your remote computer using a web-browser. For this, first log into your RemotePC account from the RemotePC website. You would see a list of all the available hosts (remote computers) in your account. Select the one you wish to access and enter the host key. Within seconds, you would be able to work on this remote computer.
Before you start using RemotePC, please signup for an account. You can choose the RemotePC Basic plan or RemotePC Plus plan that allows remote access to one or three host computers respectively. After signing up, you can download the Host and the Viewer application to set up the host/viewer computer.
Download Remote Access Host Application on the host computer
Setting up the Remote Access Host is simple. The entire process takes less than a minute.
Simply download and install the host application on the remote computer. After installing the Remote Access host, you will be prompted for RemotePC server authentication. Register the remote host computer on the RemotePC serve by providing the remote host computer description and a ‘host key’.
Simply put, there are two levels of authentication, one pertaining to the main RemotePC account, and the other relating to the host computer.
