To meet the surge in demand for initial online backup of 100’s of GBs of data, IBackup Professional now has a solution. Users can do faster initial backups of data to a temporary storage device shipped by IBackup Professional to their location.
IBackup Professional will send you either or depending on the size of the data that needs to be backed up. Users can directly plug the external drives in to their computers via USB and easily perform initial backups of data to these devices. This is an ideal solution for data up to 500 GB.
For initial backups of more than 500GB of data, IBackup Professional recommends Snapservers. Users need to simply copy their data onto these devices and ship it back to IBackup Professional. They need to make sure that appropriate material is used for packing the devices before they are shipped out to IBackup Professional.
Once IBackup Professional receives these devices from users, the data backed up will be transferred to IBackup Professional's data centers. Users can then continue doing incremental backups of data through the Internet. This is an efficient method to establish online backups for datasets of 100GB and more.
The Snapservers are preconfigured with storage of up to 1.5TB and DHCP. If users have DHCP servers on their LAN, all they have to do is to hook up one of the Snapserver ports to their LAN and copy their data. If not, they will have to configure the Snapserver networking details to suit their network. IBackup personnel will provide all the necessary authentication information to configure the Snapserver. |
