Share file/folder for collaborative access using IBackup Drive


To share files/folders via IBackup Drive, follow the steps below:

Method 1:

Right-click the file/folder you wish to share. From the menu , click the 'Send to IBackup Share' option.

This takes you to the screen where you can set the preferences for your shared file/folder.

You can choose from among the options listed below while generating a share link:

Location:
Shows the location of shared file/folder.
Write Enabled: Permits your  associate to modify and upload the shared file/folder to your account.
Upload new file:  Allows your associate to upload a new file to your account.
Lock enabled: Allows for locking/unlocking of the shared file/folder to let others know that it has been reserved for modification. 
Image Gallery: Allows your associate to view all the pictures as thumbnails.
Number of Downloads: The number of downloads permitted for your shared file/folder before the link expires.
Number of days: The duration for which the shared link would be active.
Password: Safeguard the shared resource by providing a password and sharing the same with your associates.
Mail Details: Enter the email addresses of the recipient of the shared file/folder.

 

Method 2:

You can use IBackup Drive to see the share status and the number of shares generated for a particular file/folder. Also, it is possible to create share link from this menu. Right-click on the file/folder and select the 'Properties' menu option.


Click the 'IBackup Drive Share' tab as displayed in the screen as below:

Here, you can view the file status, the number of times the selected file/folder is available for access. Generate another share link by clicking the 'Share file/folder' button.
