Share file/folder for collaborative access using IBackup Drive
The Share file/folder feature in IBackup Drive allows you to share data with others for collaborative access. Simply create sharable link(s) for the file/folder and email the same using IBackup Drive.
You can share files/folders via IBackup Drive in two ways, as listed below.
Method 1:
Right click the file/folder you wish to share.
From the menu that appears, click the 'Send to IBackup Drive Share' option.
This takes you to the screen where you can set the preferences for your shared resource.
You can choose from among the options listed below while generating a share link:
Password protection: Creates a password protected share link. The recipient(s) must enter the password to access the shared resource. Number of downloads: Set the number of downloads for files
before the link expires. Write enable: Allows shared link recipient(s) to upload modified version
of the file. Upload new file: Allows shared link recipient(s) to upload new files into shared
folder. Image gallery view: Allows shared link recipient(s) to view images as thumbnails.
Enter the email id of the recipient(s) and click 'OK' to generate share link(s).
Method 2:
You can use IBackup Drive to see the share status and the number of shares
generated for a particular file/folder. Also, it is possible to create share
link from this menu. Right-click on the file/folder to open the
pop-up menu.
Select 'Properties' from the pop-up menu and click
the 'IBackup Drive Share' tab as displayed in the screen as below:
Here, you can check the file status, the number of times
the selected file/folder is available for access and generate
another share link by clicking the 'Share Resource' button.
