Suggestions for backing up C Drive

While backing up C drive, be selective in the files that are to be backed up.
It is likely that your entire hard drive may be much larger than the storage
space you have purchased. You can save your storage space by avoiding backing up programs (such as MS office that includes word, excel, powerpoint etc.) that can be reinstalled from a purchased CD.

Please try to focus more on backing up folders like your "My Documents"
folder and other important data files like accounting, income tax, contact management, etc..

How do I view the backed up time of a file?

Just click on the file under the "My IBackup" directory in IBackup for Windows. The status bar below indicates the backed up time of that file after taking into account your time zone and other factors like daylight savings etc.

Alternately, you can also view meta data of files in your IBackup space by using the "Remote Dir View" option of the main toolbar.

How do I configure a different outgoing email server setting for IBackup for Windows?

Goto File->Preferences and change the default outgoing server name used by IBackup for Windows to the name you wish to use. Please remember that the default port used by IBackup for Windows for the SMTP server to relay emails is Port 25 on your outgoing server, so you may make appropriate configuration settings.

How to retain the date and time of the files being backed up onto IBackup account?

This is possible by backing up your files using "Compress" option to your IBackup account. You can find the same date and time of the files while you restore the files to your computer using the "Uncompress" option.

How can I rectify time related problems in my scheduler?

You have to set the time tab pane to AM/PM format as the software uses this internally for scheduling future backups. The time tab pane can be set by going to Control Panel->Regional Options->Time.

I cannot get to schedule my backup jobs. I am on a language/character
 set other than US/English

To select this mode, select from the application "File -> Preferences -> Automatic file selection settings -> Dont display the files needing backup, "Just back them up in the stealth mode" and click on "Save" button.

Which are the installation modes available for IBackup for windows to run scheduled backup jobs?

IBackup for Windows has the ability to run the scheduled backups as a background process and an additional option to run as NT Service on Windows NT/2000 and XP. IBackground/ IBWin Service is a background application which keeps polling for data that is scheduled to be backed up to your IBackup account. IBackground/ IBWin Service is started automatically when the application is installed and also every time the computer is rebooted. The service option is especially useful for Server backups.

What is snapshot feature? How do you enable snapshots?
