Data Protection |
| |

|
Data protection can mean protection of data at your end or easier still, letting a backup software agent automate this activity, leaving you free to focus on other tasks at hand.
Data protection is the foremost requirement laid to IBackup each time we discuss this with large enterprises/SMEs/end-consumers.

1. How and where is data encrypted?
Data is encrypted using 128-bit SSL industry grade encryption standards on transmission.
2. How are my username/password kept secure?
Your username and password are encrypted and transferred using 128-bit SSL industry standard encryption, thus ensuring it stays secure.
3. Can IBackup personnel access my data?
No. Only you know the encryption passphrase used to encrypt your data at rest using IBackup Professional (using 256-bit AES encryption). This ensures that data is available only to you and not accessible to IBackup personnel on the server side. There is also an option to allow IBackup Professional to encrypt your data using default encryption keys. |
