		Web enable office applications. Standard Microsoft Office applications such as Microsoft Access, Excel (with Microsoft Access backend), Act! From Best Software, QuickBooks and Quicken from Intuit and many other office applications provide multi-user access to the source data on a LAN. We simply web-enable these applications using IDrive ASP technology. You can access the source data from anywhere, as long as you have the necessary Application available on your machine, and have a good Internet Connectivity, preferably, a DSL or Cable connection.

How is it done?

We use the unique IDrive ASP technology to extend your LAN to the Internet. You can now use your familiar office applications over the Internet. Your data is encrypted during transit with 128-bit SSL encryption, so you need not worry about security of data while it is being transmitted. Once you install and run the IDrive ASP application that creates a mapped network drive, you will just need to move your application data to the drive, and point your application to use this data. There is a limit of 1GB on the data that you can store for access using IDrive ASP. Data stored in IDrive ASP accounts are completely independent of your IBackup data. It is important that you backup your IDrive ASP data to your IBackup account on a regular basis for additional security.

IDrive ASP solution vs. using ASP solutions

ASP solutions for office applications have a subscription price point that are much higher than IBackup subscriptions. Also, ASP solutions are still evolving, but LAN based office applications are mature, market-hardened products that are ready to use, have been around for years. IBackup does not make or offer Office Applications, we simply web enable your existing office applications. For more details, please see web enabling FAQ.

Note : You cannot have both IDrive Multimedia and IDrive ASP running at the same time in your computer. Please login to one application at a time.

	Administrator privileges to install and use the application

This application works best within continental USA. Application performance may suffer if tried from outside of USA, as it is highly latency dependent. Even within US, if latency for connectivity from user end to user’s storage location is greater than 50 msec, performance may suffer and applications may not work properly.
